GUTTERFUNK
2/17/2004
Being ahead of one’s time comes at a cost. For a band like The Get Quick, who seem to be forever laying the groundwork for future zeitgeists, it may mean missing the “moment.”
The GQ spent much of the 1970s on their own personal path, completely out of sync with the styles and trends we all now think of as defining the decade.
Recorded concurrently and released in 2004, both Gutterfunk and Radnor Rolls are the band’s attempt to pay homage to the collective false memory of the glorious sweat and glitter of the 70s.
